Regional Design Authority for seatbelt tongues.
Product Engineer responsible for Pyrotechnic Lap/Buckle Pretensioners (PxP) projects.
Regional Design Authority for Crash Lock Tongues
Design, test, and validate tongues and PxPs to meet various E-APDS program requirements and global standards. Work as Core Engineering member of CFT’s.
Travel to seatbelt assembly plants as required for Line and Design Workshops, process and equipment design reviews, machine buy-offs, and machine validations.
Meet with and travel to component suppliers to review part manufacturability and understand related processes.
Support on-going volume production issues related to tongues and PxPs.
Support VEVA and supplier resourcing activities for components and assemblies.
Use FMEA as design and root cause tool.
Use structured problem solving techniques to root cause various design issues and improve product robustness
